# NovaSeq X Series v1.0.0

These Release Notes describe the key changes to software components for the Clarity LIMS NovaSeq X Series Integration Package version 1.0.

## Compatibility

This version of the integration package is compatible with the following software:

* BaseSpace Clarity LIMS v5.3 and later
* NGS Extensions Package v5.22 and later
* Illumina Preset Protocols (IPP) v2.5.0 and later
* NovaSeq X Series Operating Software v1.0.0

## New Features

Features provided with this release of the integration package are as follows.

* Provides integration between the NovaSeq X Series instrument and Clarity LIMS.
* Supports Local and Cloud run modes with automated tracking of the sequencing run and parsing of run statistics to Clarity LIMS.
* Supports the configuration of multiple secondary analyses on a sequencing run with the Analysis Configuration Template (ACT). This template can be configured using BaseSpace Sequence Hub.
* Generates the v2 sample sheet.
* Delivers the NovaSeq X Series Sequencing v1.0 workflow directly from IPP v2.5.

## Defects Fixed

None

## Known Limitations

* This integration does not track the analysis step. You must log in to BaseSpace Sequence Hub to view the cloud analysis status and results. For local analysis, the secondary analysis results are located in the external storage configured in Illumina Run Manager.
* The Local run mode does not support custom library prep and index adapter kits.

## Known Issues

* On the Make Bulk Pool step, the log displays a warning when the Calculate Volume automation is triggered and at least one pool consists of multiple inputs. This issue is caused by the output custom field being reset multiple times at the end of the automation. This issue does not affect the volume calculation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.claritylims.illumina.com/instruments-and-integrations/other-release-notes/novaseqx-v1.0.0-release-notes.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
